300ft Rappelling at Bhongir Fort

Beginner's Rappelling Session at Bhongir Fort on the outskirts of Hyderabad

Short Itinerary

  • 0600 hrs - Assemble at Decathlon Uppal

  • 0630 hrs - Start towards Bhongir

  • 0730 hrs - Reach Bhongir

  • 0800 hrs - Start the climb to the hilltop

  • 0930 hrs - Rappelling Starts

  • 1100 hrs - End of event

  • 1200 hrs - Reach Hyderabad

This is a one day event where a visit to the hillfort and rappelling are part of the itinerary. We assemble at Decathlon Uppal, Hyderabad at 0600 hrs and start to Bhongir once the entire group has arrived. We reach Bhongir at about 0730 hrs and have breakfast, and then start the hike up the hill.


We have a two hours to explore the hill and the fort, while the rappelling team readies the site and equipment. The fort has a steep gradient to climb up needing some effort. There are also steps cut into the rock face to ease the climb up the hill. There is an ancient dilapidated fort sitting on top of the monolith, which offers ample photographic moments, and wonderful sceneries.


Once the trip of the fort is over, we proceed to the rappelling site where the rappelling team offers a briefing of the activity and teaches all the techniques to rappel down safely.


You are taken care of and your safety is of the utmost importance, hence there will be a safety rope that you will be attached to, so in case of you slipping on the rock face, your safety will be assured.


All our rappelling team is certified and trained in conducting rappelling sessions.

  5. Hairband (for those with long hair, it is mandatory to tie it up lest it gets stuck in the ropes)
