A short trek to the source of the Beas River
This day is to enable people travelling from all over to reach Manali and assemble.
Depart from Manali to Dundhi
Start trek from Dundhi
Reach Bakarthach and set camp
Start trek to Beaskund from Bakarthach
Reach Beas Kund
Return to base camp at Bakarthach
Start descent to Manali from Bakarthach
Depart for Dundhi, a 21 km drive from Manali. Arrive and start you trek to Bakarthach. This trek is through green meadows and ridges. Arrive at Bakarthach and establish your camp.
After lunch take an acclimatisation walk.
Have a view of the magnificent Deo Tibba peak (6001 metres ) and Indrasan peak (6221 metres), Dinner and Overnight stay at your camp.
After an early breakfast depart gently for Beas Kund, trek over moraine to the small lake.
Beas Kund is the birth place of River Beas.
Beas kund is also a base camp for peaks like Shitidhar, Friendship peaks etc. Arrive, visit and return back to Bakarthach camp.
Dinner and Night at your campsite at Bakarthach.
Today morning after a sumptuous breakfast trek downhill towards Dundhi. Get back to Solang nala and take a connecting cab to Manali.
Arrive at Manali and end your Trek.

Trekking Shoes with soft soles
Backpack - 30 to 40 litre
2 Tee shirts to be worn as insulation layers / thermal clothes
Heavy Padded jacket for the cold
Trek Pants (track pants are as backup but do not depend on them)

Shemagh / Scarf
Socks - 5 pairs
