Day 1: Patlikhul - Dunda

We gather at Patlikhul (16 km before Manali), which is the starting point of this odyssey, from where we move towards Hallan Village. This is a dreamy village on the crown of a hill, which will be your last brush with civilization on this trek. After a briefing session with a warm cup of tea, we start our trek towards Dunda. Trail to Dunda runs through dense Oak forests, where pure oxygen almost hurts

your lungs. Before acclimatizing with it, we cross chowkigarh nalla and find our self in-between the lush green meadow amidst a thick forest of predominantly Oak trees. This is where we pitch our tents, while your eyes sniff in the striking surroundings. After some nice warm dinner, we snuggle up in our sleeping bags for the night.

Day 2: Dunda – Chotta Parkuni

Wake up early today to catch the first rays of the sun creating a ripple effect in the pristine Himalayan valley. After a heavy breakfast we start our trek towards Chotta Parkuni, while passing through the meanders of thick forests of Birch, Rhododendron and Juniper. This region is laden with various rare plants and herbs which are known to have some high medicinal value. For those who may need a bit of motivation to keep walking, the sights and sounds of Himalaya will

prove to be a fuel enough. We halt for the night in Chotta Parkurni, where we have our dinner near the bonfire.

Day 3: Chotta Parkuni - Homapakiran

Today we trek on the slopes of the Pir-Panjal range, with our hearts filled with enthusiasm and our surroundings with the vast expanse of meadows. We cross the Haripur nala to arrive at our halt for the day in Homapakiran, where you enjoy a night under the stars while snuggling in your sleeping bag.

Day 4: Homapakiran - Futta Saur - Homapakiran

Today, we feast on the sights of natural grandeur that will make memories of a life time. After a heavy breakfast, we trek for a while to reach our first lake ‘Batarunaag Saur’. A short walk from here will bring us to one of the most ethereal lakes ‘Vasukinaag Saur’. From here we bask the elusive lakes of ‘Futta Saur’ and ‘Matakotli Saur’. The terrain here is a bit rocky and not very suitable for camping. So, our tents will remain pitched at Homapakiran where you spend your night near the bonfire atop the Mountain of Lakes (Talk about luxury).

Day 5: Homapakiran - Dunda

After breakfast, we start our descend towards Hallan village, where you retrace your steps back to Dunda. You can trek at your own pace today while unwinding yourself in the picture perfect hills. We pitch our tents in Dunda, where we call it a day with a warm cup of sweet tea near the bonfire.

Day 6: Dunda - Patlikuhal

Our six day long odyssey to the mountain of lakes comes to an end today. With nostalgia in our hearts we celebrate our expedition as there are very few in this world who can claim to be blessed with the sightings of the mystical lakes on this mountain. We stop in Hallan Village for a lazy lunch after which we hop on our vehicle and move towards Patlikuhal, where our journey comes to a full circle. Here we part ways to meet very soon for our next adventure.
