Short Itinerary

Let us take you on a motorcycling pilgrimage, known among riders as one of the best motorcycle rides you can ever do in your lifetime. This Spiti Valley bike trip is one of the best and one the most challenging rides we offer and the rewards are yours to reap. Enjoy the breathtaking landscape, challenging terrain and immerse yourself in the local culture on our ride to the roof of the world.

Day 1 

Chandigarh – Shimla (100 kms/3-4 hrs)

Day 2   

Shimla - Sarahan (175 km/5-6 Hrs)

Day 3  

Sarahan - Nako (174 km/5 hrs)

Day 5

Nako - Kaza (111 km/4 hrs)

Day 6

Kaza - Manali (183 km/5 hrs)

Day 7

Manali - Chandigarh

Day 1  Chandigarh – Shimla (100 kms/3-4 hrs)
In the morning after breakfast start your motorbike tour to Shimla via Kalka & Solan. On arrival check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2   Shimla - Sarahan (175 km/5-6 Hrs)
Today is a gentle ride through stunning greenery, smooth roads and mountains and today will give you time to get used to riding your bike and taking in the scenery around you. Sarahan is a charming beautiful hill-village and the stay here is complemented by the surrounding views. On arrival, check in to the hotel.

Day 3  Sarahan - Nako (174 km/5 hrs)

Proceed to Nako. Visit the confluence of Satluj and Spiti rivers at Khab en route. Nako is a beautiful village on the banks of a lake. On arrival, set up camp.

Day 4 Nako Buffer Day

Day 5  Nako - Kaza (111 km/4 hrs)
You’ve ridden through Kinnaur and Baspa Valley. Now hit the awesome trail of inspirational Spiti Valley and the small town of Tabo. The town has not changed for millennia and is where you will find the second most important Buddhist Monastery, only to that of Tholong Gompa in Tibet. The 10th century Tabo Monastery houses some 60 Lamas and contains old scriptures and artifacts. A great place to take time out and relax

Day 6 Kaza - Manali (183 km/5 hrs)
Visit the Ki monastery and Kibber village. Travel to Manali via Kunzum Pass & Gramphu & Rohtang Pass. The drive provides you with some spectacular views of the rugged Spiti valley, CB ranges and Barashigri Glacier. Overnight in hotel.

Day 7  Manali - Chandigarh (301km/ 8 hrs)
In the morning after breakfast get ready for the last day riding toward Chandigarh via a beautiful valley of Kullu. End of trip.

  1. Motorcycle Rental (Royal Enfield 350 cc) (on a 2 bike - 3 pax sharing basis) / Solo Riding will be charged extra ₹7000

  3. All fuel costs (generally will cost ₹6000 for the whole trip at mileage calculated at 35kmpl and petrol price at ₹85/litre for the total trip distance of 2700 km)

  4. Covid -19 Test - Mandatory to enter Ladakh as of the last update (generally costs ₹1500 for a nasal swab test)

  5. Any extra charges borne in case of plan deviations (as decided by Travel Lead)

  6. Payment Gateway Charges of 2.5% per transaction (contact your host to avoid this charge)

What to Carry?

Mandatory Carry

  1. A full-face helmet (flip or non-flip model) (for both rider and pillion) / A helmet will be provided with bike rental but expect it to not fit and carry your own helmet for safety and hygiene purposes

  2. Backpack / Saddle Bag (DO NOT BRING SUITCASES) as all luggage will be bike borne and needs to be tied to the bike - aound 60litre capacity

  3. Head scarf / bandana / do-tag

  4. Sunglasses

  5. Mask to protect the face while riding

  6. Moisturiser 

  7. Water Bottles - 2 to 3 litre capacity

  8. Waste Bag (you can bring anything that you can use to carry your waste)

  9. High ankle boots for riding

  10. Flip-flops / slippers / sandals for the nights

  11. Heavy Woollens for the cold

  12. 8 Tee shirts

  13. 8 Sports Tracks

  14. 3 Riding Pants / Jeans

  15. 15 pairs of socks

  16. Full Riding Gloves

  17. Ziplock bags to protect electronics 

  18. Any personal first aid kits / prescribed medicines

  19. All documents for self

  20. Negative COVID-19 Certificate 

  21. Any such document that the local authorities may prescribe at a future date after booking has been made.
