Tirth Patel

Dedicated Mountain Guide and Instructor
 

He is a highly skilled mountaineering guide and instructor, experience forged in the heart of the mountains. He has successfully led many expeditions into spectacular 6000-meter peaks and has personally attempted a challenging 7000-meter summit, demonstrating his skill and passion for high-altitude adventures.

As an instructor at Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, he is driven to empower aspiring climbers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to stay safe and sound while navigating the mountains. His teaching is focused on technical excellence, environmental stewardship, and the spirit of resilience that is the essence of mountaineering.

Devoted to meticulous planning, high safety standards, and inspiring enthusiasm in his clients, Tirth Patel is much more than a guide; he is a mentor who molds every climb into a meaningful experience that one never forgets. Whether guiding expeditions or developing the future mountaineers, he's perpetually living the legacy of exploration and adventure.

Deepak Gurjar

Deepak Gurjar is a high-altitude mountaineer, ice climber, and the founder of The Great Outdoors — a Himalayan expedition company built on the belief that the mountains are best experienced with someone who truly knows them.

With extensive experience across Ladakh and the broader Himalayan region, Deepak has summited multiple 6,000-metre peaks in Ladakh and made serious attempts on 7,000-metre summits in both Ladakh and Uttarakhand. He co-leads all major expeditions alongside Tirth Patel, ensuring every client receives experienced, attentive guidance from approach to summit.

The Great Outdoors was founded with a clear purpose — to run professionally guided expeditions, empower local mountain communities, and raise the standard of outdoor education in India.
