Markha Valley Trek Overview

The Markha Valley Trek is one of Ladakh’s most iconic and scenic adventures. Winding through picturesque villages nestled in the heart of a deep valley and surrounded by towering peaks, this trek offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural immersion. The highlight of the journey is crossing the Kongmaru La Pass (5250m), which provides breathtaking views of the Kang Yatse peaks. Along the way, trekkers have the opportunity to stay in traditional homestays, offering a unique glimpse into the daily lives of the Ladakhi people.

As part of the Hemis National Park, the trek takes you through protected areas, home to rare wildlife such as the elusive snow leopard. With its stunning landscapes and rich cultural experiences, the Markha Valley Trek promises an unforgettable adventure in the pristine wilderness of Ladakh.
