The Great Outdoors is a Ladakh-based high-altitude expedition company founded and led by experienced mountaineers. We specialise in guided expeditions across the Himalayas — from beginner-friendly 5,000-metre peaks to serious 6,000-metre and 7,000-metre summit attempts in Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and beyond.

Whether you're stepping onto your first glacier or planning your next big summit, we design every expedition around one belief: that serious mountaineering should be accessible to anyone willing to put in the work. Our guides don't just lead — they climb alongside you, with the technical skills, safety training, and high-altitude experience to get you to the top and back safely.

Based in the heart of the Himalayas, we run expeditions to some of the most spectacular and remote peaks in India — including Kang Yatse II (6,250m), UT Kangri (6,070m), Mentok Kangri I (6,270m), Friendship Peak (5,289m), and Mt. Kun (7,077m) — as well as international expeditions to peaks like Mt. Lenin (7,134m) in Kyrgyzstan and Mt. Elbrus (5,642m) in Russia.
